It's New York Fashion Week and we’re nearly as excited to find out what’s playing during the shows as we are to see what’s on the catwalks. We picked up some groovy soundtracks from Spring/Summer 2013 shows. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Dance, my friend, dance! ;-)
Show: BCBG Max Azria
Soundtrack: Nicolas Jaar — With Just One Glance
Four-minute subtle song with a beautiful female vocal mixed with tropical notes and jazz. On repeat 10 times in a row by now, oh my!

Show: Alexander Wang
Soundtrack: hip-hop mix Pharoahe Monch, Earl Sweatshirt, Dillon Francis, Ebony Bones

Designer Alexander Wang has decided not to take the path of least resistance and decided that his models will appear on the catwalk at the mix of several classic hip-hop songs, such as Simon Says by Pharoahe Monch and Drop by the young Earl Sweatshirt from OFWGKTA.
By the way, the print Parental Advisory represented on some garments of the collection illustrates the musical component of the show: the soundtracks are full of bad words, but it is the law of the genre, is not it? ;-)
Show: Lacoste
Soundtrack: FKA Twigs mix — Water Me, Mount Kimbie — Carbonated, Kelpe — Beaks Of Eagles (Fulgeance Remix), The Weeknd Feat. Kavinsky — Odd Look
Minimalistic and sporty spirit of the collection was accompanied by a minimal music from the British band FKA Twigs, who, by the way, will soon release the album.
Show: DKNY
Soundtrack: Beastie Boys — Fight For Your Right
The song, which is rightly recognized as the anthem of all parties, became the anthem of the 25th anniversary show of Donna Karan. Hardcore it!

Show: Tommy Hilfiger
Soundtrack: the Beach Boys — Surfin' USA
No other song could fit better than Surfing USA to emphasize the spring-summer collection of the American designer. Entourage was appropriate: sand, surf boards, a lot of bright colors and beach mood.
Show: Carolina Herrera
Soundtrack: Cosi Fan Tutte — Erre
Well-known and most desired dresses and jackets Carolina Herrera appeared on the catwalk to the sounds of electronic music duo of two producers Bandit & NiKiT.
Show: Diesel Black Gold
Soundtrack: Gesaffelstein — Viol
Frankly speaking, to wait for another mood from Diesel was reckless. The track from the project Gesaffelstein Viol perfectly fit into the concept of the show. Bravo, Andreas Melbostad!
Show: Rebecca Minkoff
Soundtrack: Janelle Monae — Dance or Die
The single Dance or Die - full of life and energy was presented by Janelle Monae live, this fact made  the show to look even more vivid.

Show: Oscar de la Renta
Soundtrack: The Beatles — Here Comes The Sun/ The Inner Light (Love Version)
Sunny and light mood was given to each guest of Oscar de la Renta floral show thanks to a classic composition of the Beatles - Here Comes the Sun.

Stay classy, stay tuned. Dance your troubles away! See you on the floor, dance floor ;-)

Kindly yours,
Mira and Lana.
